About House of Manchic
In 2010, Jorge Gallegos walked in his first Dallas Pride on Cedar Springs Road. He had moved to Dallas from Mexico, and he was still finding his people.
Sixteen years later, on September 19, 2026, he played the Dallas in Pride stage at Oak Lawn Live. It was the first festival ever held on that same street.
How it started
House of Manchic started during the pandemic lockdowns. DJs around the world were turning their living rooms into dance floors. Jorge started doing the same.
His sets blend jackin' house, disco house and Afro house. They're emotional but high energy. They're built around one idea: the dance floor is for everyone.
Why he throws his own parties
He couldn't find a queer space in Dallas that played house music. So he built one.
Summer House launched in July 2025 as a queer tea dance and pool party. It was built as an alternative to circuit parties, where soulful house music, conversation and community come first. The first season ran five events and drew more than 200 unique guests.
Season 2 ran June through October 2026 at the Dive In in Dallas. The HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health was the presenting sponsor, and Summer House had a special partnership with Texas Latino Pride. He also produces the Bulge and Sungaybest party series.
On stage
In October 2026 he made his Orlando debut during Orlando Pride at SWEATBOX, the city's queer-owned pop-up rave. On November 7 he plays the Arenas Stage at Palm Springs Pride's 40th anniversary. His other sets include Green Light Social, The Dallas Eagle, JR's and STRUT NYC.
His filmed set Afro House by the Ocean, recorded at Mantamar Beach in Mexico, passed 14,000 YouTube views in its first two weeks. He's also a queer content creator, with more than 47,000 followers on his personal Instagram, @manchic.

Jorge Gallegos, the Dallas DJ and event producer known as House of Manchic, is a queer Mexican DJ based in Dallas-Fort Worth. He is the founder of the Summer House, Bulge and Sungaybest party series. His work centers on queer joy, community and house music.
